Alternative Space began as an exhibition series in a non-formal industrial setting. It lasted for 10 exhibitions from 2000 to 2005. After moving from the storage facility that housed this exhibition, we hosted one final Alternative Space at our Astoria location under the heading: A Foundry Affair. This was a one-day event consisting of select sculptures, new works by emerging artists, foundry demonstrations and an all day BBQ. |
